Buddhist Pilgrimage Tour

Buddhist Pilgrimage Tour are a great way to learn about Buddhism and see some of the most important Buddhist sites in India. such as Seavasti, Lumbini, Kushinagar, Vaishali, Bodhgaya and Varanasi. The tour takes you to Bodhgaya, where the Buddha attained enlightenment, Sarnath, where he gave his first sermon; and Kushinagar, where he attained nirvana. You'll also visit the Mahabodhi Temple in Bodhgaya, the world's oldest Buddhist temple, and the Dhamekh Stupa, one of the most important Buddhist monuments in India. The tour is a great way to learn about Buddhism and its history and to see some of the most important Buddhist sites in India.

Tour Itinerary

01 Day 01 : Delhi Arrival
On arrival our representative will Meet you at Airport and transfer to hotel. Overnight stay at Delhi.

02 Day 02 : Delhi - Agra
Breakfast drive to Agra. on the way visit Mathura and Vrindavan, lord krishna birth place . reach Agra and transfer to hotel. Overnight stay at Agra.

03 Day 03 : Agra - Varanasi (Overnight train)
Morning visit Taj Mahal at sunrise. come back for Breakfast at hotel, later visit Agra fort. in the Evening transfer to Railway station for Varanasi. Overnight train.

04 Day 04 : Varanasi Arrival
our representative meet on arrival at Railway station and transfer to hotel, Later Visit Sarnath, The Buddha delivered his first sermon. later city tour of Varanasi , Sarnath visit famous Dhamekh Stupa, the seat of the holy Buddha. Also visit ruins of Dharmarajika Stupa and Mulagandha Kuti Temple, the Lord Buddha is said to have rested and meditated while in Sarnath. and Ashoka Pillar built by the emperor Ashoka is a must see in Sarnath. Overnight stay at Varanasi.

05 Day 05 : Varanasi - Bodhgaya
After Breakfast drive to Bodhgaya. Arrive Bodhgaya and transfer to hotel. later visit Mahabodhi Temple and Bodhi Tree, Great Buddha Statue, Niranjana River, Sujata Temple. Also visit many other Buddhist Temples in Bodhgaya. later transfer to hotel. Overnight stay at Bodhgaya.

06 Day 06 : Bodhgaya - Kushinagar
After Breakfast drive to Kushinagar with lunch box for on the way. On arrival check in hotel. it is located at 55 km from Gorakhpur, Overnight stay at Kushinagar.

07 Day 07 : Kushinagar - Lumbini
After breakfast visit Mahaparinirvana Temple and Rambhar Stupa , Japanese Temple. later drive to Lumbini. While going to Lumbini, stop at Nepal border for Immigration office. Later check-in Hotel. Overnight stay at Lumbini.

08 Day 08 : Lumbini - Sravasti
Today visit Lumbini, the Birth place of Lord Buddha. Later drive to Sravasti. Sravasti is around 134 km from Lucknow, Sravasti the capital of the ancient kingdom of Kosala, Overnight stay at Sravasti.

09 Day 09 : Sravasti - Lucknow
After breakfast visit Sravasti, where Buddha spent his 24 monsoons, visit Jetavana and Ananda Bodhi Tree, later leave for Lucknow. Arrive Lucknow and transfer to Railway station for Delhi or ( option for flight ). Overnight train.

10 Day 10 : Arrive - Delhi - Departure
Upon arrival at Delhi railway station / Airport meet our representative and transfer to the hotel . Later city sightseeing tour of Old and New Delhi. In evening transfer to the airport to board the flight for onward destination with wonderful memories of Buddhist Pilgrimage Tour Packages.

Sarnath - Varanasi

Kushinagar

Mahaparinirvana Temple
This is where Lord Buddha attained Mahaparinirvana (final salvation). The temple houses a serene reclining statue of Buddha and is surrounded by stupas and ancient ruins from the 3rd century BCE.

Sravasti

Jetavana Monastery
Sravasti was one of the most beloved cities of Lord Buddha, where he spent 24 rainy seasons preaching and meditating. The Jetavana Monastery, gifted by the wealthy merchant Anathapindika, became a key spiritual retreat for the Buddha and his followers.

Lumbini

Maya Devi Temple
Though located in modern-day Nepal, Lumbini is just across the Indian border and is an integral part of the Buddhist Circuit in India. It is the birthplace of Siddhartha Gautama, who later became the Buddha. The Maya Devi Temple marks the exact spot where Queen Maya gave birth to the Buddha.

Vaishali – Bihar

Ashokan Pillar and Relic Stupa
Vaishali was the place where Lord Buddha gave his last sermon before traveling to Kushinagar. It was also where he accepted women into the monastic order, making it historically important for gender equality in Buddhism. Vaishali was a vibrant center for both Buddhism and Jainism.
